Comcast Small Business

I was sent to work on site in Philadelphia with Comcast Small Business for six months. Our design team worked in house meeting daily with our clients and the Comcast development team. During this time we developed a four part process that lead to shared expectations and understanding between our team and our clients. This process consisted of us creating: a sitemap, to explain how the page would fit into the site and where users would be sent from it; greyboxes, which served as a high level overview of the page’s organization; wire, which added further detail to the grey boxes including, text, images, and CTAs; and the comp, which was representative of what the page would look like once it was built. This step by step process proved successful in getting client buy-in and limiting the design team from doing work that wasn’t aligned with the clients vision.

Below is one example of this process. I like to show this example because the simple sitemap shows how we would stick to our process to ensure alignment even it would be easy to assume that it was so simple that it could be skipped.
